Quick fixes

From a travel box to a bar, now barbecue storage .

I was gifted painted wood by my dad as a garage shelving project, ended up not needing a lot of it so it became an accordion-folding travel box in optimistic hope I would be able to vend hats and notions at cons or faires. Those plans took a back seat; I opened the panels, cut a top and bottom and made a bar for the living room that could be outfitted for holidays.

Now with the new polycarbonate patio roof, keeping it outside became possible and having the grill gear within reach a plus for myself and the Grillmaster. Beast enjoys digging his claws in, too.

Silver linings

Inauguration Day was yesterday, and I am thrilled to have seen Vice President Kamala Harris take the oath of office.

The pandemic is seeing more than one company making vaccinations for the current COVID-19 virus, and with luck there will soon be one for the strain or mutation that showed up in the U.K.

My credit score bumped upward significantly for the first time in years, and Oregon Saves’ Roth IRA is my reentry into savings.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, and I hope yours started off on the right foot 🙂

The Wardrobe,a.k.a. my sewing room, has finally started seeing signs of life and less congestion (in-laws visiting made me turn it back into a guest room for about a week,my word the GARAGE can hold a lot!) That said,my resolution has been to get backheld projects and mending out of the way before I get to anything on my personal wishlist. With Estrella War this February, I got a move on; bedspreads have fixed backings and a bunch of hemming out of the way-high heeled shoes only do so much.

Also on my list, finding clean tin foil for making and covering hats, inspired by an anniversary party I went to;reduce and reuse for 2019 under way
